Sorry, we couldn't connect to skype. Please check your internet connection and try again
A lot of freelancers called me to help them to fix various problems in Windows 10 last month. One of them is new version of Skype. People getting this message :

Sorry, we couldn’t connect to skype. Please check your internet connection and try again

Rule is :
Your Intenret explorer and Microsoft Edge must work (surf) if you want to use Skype !

1) Your Internet Explorer 11 and Microsoft Edge doesn’t surf as well.
If this is true than problem is clear.
In Search Windows try to find Internet Explorer. Open this software and go to Internet Options and than Connection tab. There in Settings set like this :
internet explorer connection
Now test Internet Explorer and Microsoft Edge and see do they work now and can you search using this browsers. If you still have problems with Internet Explorer and Edge than read Auto configuration and auto proxy problems with Internet Explorer 11 and Auto configuration settings for Internet Explorer 11.

2) If you can not download Skype and you are getting :

Can’t connect to the download server

This problem you can fix either using intenret explorer connection fix (above is solution) or you can download full installation of skype.
Download Skype full version
