How to Check Monitor Resolution?

by freelancer

The number of distinct pixels in each dimension displayed on the computer screen is known as the Screen Resolution.

Generally, the number of pixels is portrayed with a figure.

Example:

Horizontal Pixels by Vertical Pixels=1280 x 720 px

It is also widely called an “HD” resolution; it has 921600 Pixels only.

How to find a monitor resolution?

When a small pixel combines with the other pixels of a display, one can view a full image. More number of pixels in an image makes it visually sharp. So, let us see how to know the resolution of the monitor:

How to check monitor resolution?
To check monitor resolution from the Windows Operating System, do these steps:

  1. On your Windows desktop, right-click your mouse.
  2. Click on “Screen Resolution” from the list.
  3. Check the computer’s screen resolution, which appears on the screen. Suppose it is 1366*768 px. Then, the 1st figure is the number of Horizontal Pixels, and the 2nd number is the number of Vertical Pixels.

Note: If you spot a label saying “Recommended” next to this figure, Windows is trying to convey that the screen resolution is the most compatible with matching your monitor or display.
